BUZZ’ AYAZ had their debut on our stage & this year they continue to give us special treats with a feature of their entire album, before its eagerly anticipated release by Glitterbeat Records later this year.
The band is the latest project to be led by Antonis Antoniou – founder of award-winning bands Monsieur Doumani and Trio Tekke – bringing a fresh air of Eastern Mediterranean psychedelia, rock and blues. He handles an electric tzouras, effects & main vocals, Manos Stratis is on bass synth & organ, Will Scott on bass clarinet and Ulaş Öğüç on drums & triggers.
Together they produce a wall of sound, a fuzzy urban soundscape of synth textures, tribal-like drumming & fierce bass clarinet riffs, building up the layers to a trance-inducing reverie.
